Best Of 2024!
Podcast, Engineering Pathways and The Ultimate Election Year
2024 looks to be another year that has zoomed by quickly. It was full of surprises, filled with ups and downs. My first goal for the year was to start a new podcast series that highlighted work of scientists and other science communicators. My second goal was to cover my experience in the software engineering industry in more detail. Overall, I am very happy with topics I was able to publish.

Podcast Numbers
The first episode, Keep Looking Up With Jatan, was by far the most popular episode. It was amazing to get valuable insights from about his writing and all the space missions heading to the Moon. Next one with Mark was another fun conversation filled with lots of Astronomy related advice.
The next two were more technical conversations starting with a conversation with Dr Oliver Jennrich on LISA. We talked about concepts around Gravitational Waves, ground based detectors and ESA’s plans for this mission. The next conversation was on a related, building LIGO detectors in India with Dr Debarati Chatterjee.
With over 14k views and 100 hours of watch time, these stats are higher than I expected. Appreciate interviewers giving their time and audience spending time listening & watching. This has given me encouragement to start planning season 2 of this series in 2025.
Software Engineering Articles
The first was a collaboration with Gregor on “The importance of forming opinions in the engineering industry”. The next one was a new avenue of publishing through my companies LinkedIn channel. In “Leading Team Discussions”, I covered how to balance making decisions and team health.
Covering Global Events
2024 also had several other interesting events I wanted to cover. First, I saw first hand examples of technology playing a pivotal role in unlocking India’s labor market. We got treated to a total Solar Eclipse in April. Then we had two stranded astronauts on the Space Station. This one was published in The Quantastic Journal by !
One reason we might look back at 2024 as the most consequential year could be all the elections globally. Making it the Ultimate Election Year.
